Call it as it is: 8th annual Israeli Apartheid Week
For the 8th time in a row, organizers from across the world band together this year to organize a worldwide IAW: Israeli Apartheid Week. Last year, 97 cities participated, and if you get involved you can help make this year a gigantic success as well. This year the week take place around Februari-March, depending on where in the world you live. The organizers have taken existing university schedules into account, in order to ensure that as many as possible will be able to participate.
Those who are not blinded by the favoritism among media and politicians that ‘Israel’ enjoys in the West, are very well aware that the Zionist state exerts its dominance upon occupied Palestine on the basis of an inherently racist system that is deeply embedded in the ideological tenets of Zionism. Conscientious citizens from around world are however waking up to these facts, and their numbers are increasing every year. The Israeli Apartheid Week is a yearly chance for all these people to draw awareness to the horrendous injustices perpetrated by the Zionist state upon the Palestinians, in a coordinated way that aims to empower BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) activities around the world.
Doc Jazz is scheduled to participate in the Palestine IAW on March 18th, at 3.30 pm, by speaking with Gaza live over the Skype network. This was organized by activists based in besieged Gaza from the One Democratic State Group (ODSG) and the Palestinian Students’ Campaign for the Academic Boycott of Israel (PSCABI).
