If you have been following the activities of Doc Jazz, you probably know that he has been invited by the Southern California chapter of PCRF (Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund) to perform on their annual Healing Hands Gala.

This gala, which helps in raising funds for medical assistance to Palestinian children through PCRF, will be taking place on October 13th in Anaheim, California. Further details can be found here at the Musical Intifada, and of course on the PCRF website.

Honored by the invitation, and inspired by the heart-warming humanitarian and medical activities of PCRF, Doc Jazz – who happens to be a surgeon himself, as you probably know – has composed a song that pays homage to the Healing Hands that cure Palestinian children who are unable to obtain treatment for their ailments.

The title of the song is ‘Healing Hands’, and it is currently being recorded. Its release is expected within two weeks, and when it has been published and made available for download, the plan is to see if this song can be used to help generate funds for PCRF. Obviously, Doc Jazz is also planning to perform the song live at the gala!

For now, you will be kept wondering whether this song will be a heart-wrenching ballad, or whether it will lean more towards the more rhythmical styles that Doc Jazz often produces. You may have your own expectations about what a song with this theme will sound like, and perhaps they will come true – but then again, there is also a chance that you will be surprised!

Just keep visiting the website and the Facebook page, or keep your eye on Doc Jazz’s Twitter account – soon enough, you will know !
