A little earlier than expected, Doc Jazz has finished his new song ‘Healing Hands’ ! It has been uploaded to his Soundclick page, where you can stream it as often as you like.

For now, the download has not been enabled yet. As you perhaps know, this song was written with a special purpose: to support PCRF (Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund) in its admirable efforts to bring ‘Healing Hands’ (doctors and paramedics) to the children of Palestine (or in other cases, take the children to them).

Doc Jazz will perform it live at the Healing Hands Gala in Anaheim, California on October 13th this year, but the idea is also to offer this song as a paid download with all of its revenues being donated directly to PCRF. How this shall be done is still being investigated, and you will surely hear more about it soon. Read on to have a listen to the song, and find the lyrics!

As perhaps somewhat of a surprise, the genre that was chosen for this song is Rock, for its unique abilities to mobilize and empower, and for its timeless sound. In fact, this track features all those instruments you know so well from your favorite 70’s rock songs, including organ, wurlitzer and electric guitar.

Hopefully, when you listen to the song, you will feel its urgent message: send in the Healing Hands! You can find the lyrics here below, and as usual also on the Soundclick website.

Healing Hands

You don’t need a gun to be a hero
All you need to have is a heart
Reaching out to a child in Gaza’s ground zero
Is all it takes to set you apart

Born in the misery of a refugee camp
Without access to his medical needs
But the heroes move in with their scalpels and clamps
And brighten his life with their surgical deeds

Healing Hands
Are always in demand

When racist occupation maims the children of a nation
Somebody’s gotta make a stand
Make a difference today, you can brighten their day
Send in the Healing Hands

Just look at that desperate situation
Imagine if the child was yours
Living in need of an urgent operation
But barred from access to the necessary cures

Praise to the people who go out of their way
To put a smile on a mother’s face
Wanna do the right thing, you can help them to bring
Some relief to the children in these difficult days

Gotta send in the Healing Hands

Send in the healing
